so, in my search for people like me out there...30 somethings that have been diagnosed with kidney cancer, the pickin's are slim. many personal blogs are about random drama in people's lives that few other people in this world give a rat's a$$ about...this one will probably be no different. although the main subject will be my cancer, i'm sure i will go off on random tangents about anything from mixed emotions to who cut me off on the highway today. im not an english major...i wont capitalize or punctuate correctly, i will change tenses and i will speak like a g33k from time to time. basically i will be me...because i can hide behind my computer screen and its great!

A note about True Friends

what is a true friend? my definition of a true friend is someone you can be yourself around, someone you can tell anything without being judged and someone who will be there for you no matter what....well, as much as they can be...let's be reasonable here.

im not one of those people that has a lot of "friends" because of the way i define the term. i have many aquaintences or what some call "social friends," but i only have a select few TRUE friends. these are the people that help me, that comfort me, that let me be me and let me lean on them no matter what else is going on in their lives. they give to me as i try to give to them when they are in need of an ear or a shoulder. they are respectful of my wishes and even if they dont understand me, they accept the raw me.
